Versatile Sandalwood director M S Rajashekar passed away on Monday due multi-organ failure. He was 75. “Rajashekar suffered from widespread infection and multi organ failure and has demised at 16:00 pm,” Vikram hospital source confirmed to DH.

Rajashekar was the son of well known makeup artist Subanna and became famous in sandalwood for making films based on novels. He made his directorial debut with ‘Dhruvathare’ starring matinee idol Rajkumar in 1985. He has predominantly worked with Rajkumar’s son Shivarajkumar, and directed blockbusters such as ‘Ratha Sapthami,’ ‘Manamechchida Hudugi,’ ‘Ade Raga Ade Haadu,’ ‘Mutthanna’ etc.
