Growers in Siddapura region have urged the Forest Department to chase away the elephants from agricultural lands as the elephant menace is on the rise.

Elephants, frequently spotted in Karadigodu village and neighbouring places, are moving from one coffee plantation to another. They have been destroying crops, the growers said.

They said the plantation workers have been living in fear.
