Belagavi: A biker was killed on the spot after he lost control of his vehicle and rammed it into a road divider on the B S Yeddiyurappa Marg here on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Vithal Hoskote (26), a resident of Sulebhavi village in Belagavi taluk.
Hoskote was riding along with pillion rider Ningappa Hosmani. He succumbed due to the head injuries, while injured Hosmani has been admitted at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences District Hospital for treatment.
Police said Hoskote could have survived the accident if he had worn a helmet.
Traffic South police have registered a case.
