Mysuru: MLC A H Vishwanath said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be changed in November/December. Either D K Shivakumar or Mallikarjun Kharge will become the chief minister.
Speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Saturday, he said, “The assurance of Siddaramaiah to hold a new caste census in three months is a lie. He will be changed in November or December. So, it cannot be done in the next three months. It is not practically or scientifically possible. The teachers are not free during this period, as schools have just reopened. Ten years ago the same Siddamaiah got the caste census done in two years, using teachers and spending Rs 170 crore. Now, fearing the AICC how can they do new census in just three months? Siddaramaiah would have become a hero of the backward classes, if he had said ‘no’ to the AICC’s decision.”
Regarding the stampede in Bengaluru, Vishwanath said, “Siddaramaiah is giving several contradictory statements on the stampede. If he had not done any mistake, why did he remove Gonvindaraju, his political secretary.”
About the expenses of the last Dasara, he said, “Dasara audit report has been given after 8 months’ delay. It was not necessary to spend Rs 49.61 crore to hold Dasara last year. If they continue the same trend, they may even spend Rs 100 crore in a few years. In 2003, Dasara was conducted with sponsorships, since the state government had not released funds.”
