Aldur: In a disturbing case reported from Chikkamagaluru, a 25-year-old man allegedly killed his mother after she refused to give him money to buy alcohol. The incident took place in Hakkimakki village near Aldur on Wednesday night.
The mother was identified as Bhavani.
Mother killed, body set on fire
Pawan, the accused son, killed Bhavani and slept near her body before allegedly set the parent's body on fire.
A habitual drinker, Pawan had got into a fight that night with his parents, Bhavani and Somegowda, after demanding for money to buy liquor and their refusal.
Father escapes
When his mother refused to give money, he took to an axe to attack his parents. While Somegowda managed to escape by running into the plantation, Bhavani got killed brutally.
Police case registered
The father then approached the Aldur police station and registered a case against the accused.
