Belagavi: A 15-year-old girl student died after collapsing in the school premises while playing at Chamkeri village in Athani taluk on Tuesday. It is suspected that she suffered from a cardiac arrest.
The deceased student has been identified as Renuka Sanjay Bandgar (15) resident of Bedarhatti village in Athani taluk. She was studying in Class 9 at a private school in Chamkeri.
Police said that while playing with other students Renuka collapsed and passed away. It is suspected that she suffered from a cardiac arrest, but the cause of the death would be known only after the post mortem report is made available.
Aigali police have registered a case.
