Bengaluru: In a surprising turn, the government on Thursday revised part of its recent order transferring 35 IPS officers in the
state.

As per the new order, Chandragupta, who was posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Northeastern Range, Kalaburagi on July 15, is now posted as IGP, Intelligence. 

The incumbent IGP Y S Ravi Kumar was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

The government posted Shantanu Sinha as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Northeastern Range. 

The government retained Simi Mariam George as the joint director of FSL, while posting her replacement Gopal M Byakod as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, Bengaluru
South). 

The government revoked the transfer of Jitendra Kumar Dayama as DCP, Law and Order, Mangaluru city, and directed him to continue as Superintendent of Police (SP), Anti-Naxal Force,
Udupi. 

The government appointed Mithun H N as DCP, Law and Order, Mangaluru.
