Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Transport Department is partnering with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to develop a unified digital infrastructure for all modes of transport.
The Transport Tech Stack co-developed as a result of the partnership will ensure open data integration and operational efficiency, according to a press release.
Last week, a Japanese delegation led by JICA DxLab head Yushi Nagano visited Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy and held discussions on the tech stack.
“With JICA’s DXLab support, the government of Karnataka is building a next-gen transport tech stack for real-time insights, open APIs and enhanced public service delivery,” the release said.
The new transport tech stack will streamline operations, reduce leakages and unlock innovation, it added.

In a press release, the BMTC stated that examinees would be allowed to free travel on ordinary buses from their place of residence to the examination centre on production of exam hall/admission ticket.
