Dharwad: In a tragic incident, Lokayukta CPI Panchakshari Salimath, serving in Haveri, died in a car mishap on Gadag- Hubballi road near Bhadrapur in Annigeri taluk at around 9:00 pm on Friday.
He was 40 years and was driving to Dharwad when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a median. The car caught fire and he was burnt alive, said the police.
