Bengaluru: Karnataka now has 100 active cases of Covid, as 36 new positive Covid cases were recorded as of Tuesday, said the health department.
The number of active cases was 80 on Monday. Of the 36 recorded on Tuesday, 16 have been ‘discharged’ or recovered, bringing the total number of active cases to 100.
Since January 1, Karnataka has reported a total of 171 Covid cases in the state. A total of 70 patients have recovered since the beginning of this year, and one person has died.
Of the total 100 active cases, 96 are isolated at home while four people have been hospitalised at private hospitals in isolation wards, according to department data.
The state's positivity rate in the past 24 hours stood at 9.44 per cent. A total of 381 tests have been conducted in the state in the past 24 hours, including 361 RTPCR tests.
