In a release, the Association said, “At a time when the turbulent period of industrial environment has not been restored to normalcy, the news that the government is working on upwards revision of power tariff is greatly worrying to the entire small industry sector.”

Added to this is the instruction from the Electricity Department to position the electricity meters in front of the building. “At this stage, insisting on shifting the meter reading is not a prudent step as it costs about Rs 40,000-Rs 50,000 for shifting. Further the safety and security of the meter is not enhanced to protect from hooligans,” the KASSIA release said.
