Bengaluru: Senior officials of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) visited the offices of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) in the city on Wednesday to understand the initiatives and schemes planned for Karnataka.

Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) PS Pramoj Sanker and other officials of Kerala met the Karnataka team's Managing Director V Anbukumar, who explained the various initiatives and programmes, including bus operations, labour welfare, commercial revenue, bus refurbishment, Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Anywhere Anytime Advance Reservation (AWATAR) 4.0 e-ticketing, KSRTC Arogya (health insurance), Rs 1-crore accident insurance, and other passenger-friendly initiatives.

The Kerala officials visited the KSRTC's depot number 2 (Bengaluru Central Division). 

The Kerala team also consisted of Financial Advisor and Chief Account Officer A Shaji, General Manager (Estate) Ullas Babu, Deputy General Manager (IT) Nishanth S, and Coordinator (Fuel Division) Naveen NI, among others. 

KSRTC Director (Personnel and Vigilance) Nandinidevi K was also present on the occasion. 

Award for KSRTC MD

Anbukumar recently received the Best MD Award at the PSU Atmanirbhar Leadership award ceremony organised by Governance Now. 

The award was presented by Satish Chandra Dubey, Union Minister of State for Ministry of Coal and Mines, and Satyapal Singh, former union Minister of State, Human Resource Development and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. 

According to the KSRTC, it has successfully refurbished 1,314 buses, including 1,184 Karnataka Sarige (ordinary) buses, 115 city buses, and 15 Airavat Club Class buses, resulting in savings of over Rs 250 crore.
