Bengaluru: A day after Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy accused the state government of stifling KIOCL and harassing HMT, Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre hit back stating that he is trying to divert the attention of the people from the mistakes made by the companies.
Khandre on Monday said the KIOCL had caused “irreparable damage” to the environment. “The company has not paid the environmental damages worth Rs 1,400 crore,” he said.
