Congressmen themselves are commenting that there is only Siddaramaiah government in the State, not the Congress government, so there are chances of a by-election to the Assembly after the Lok Sabha polls, said former deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa, here, on Saturday.

He was speaking after welcoming ex-MLA and KJP leader B R Gurudev and his supporters into the BJP fold. “KPCC president Dr Parameshwar has been lamenting that backward communities are being neglected by the Congress. He has complained that Dalits and minorities have received a raw deal in the Budget. But, instead of airing his views in small functions, he should speak on the issues in public meetings,” he said.
“Dr Parameshwar has said that Congressmen conspired to trounce him in the Assembly polls. Let him name the particular Congressman,” Eshwarappa challenged.

Commenting on Siddaramaiah granting funds to religious institutions, he recalled that Siddaramaiah had opposed the BJP granting funds to mutts.

Calling upon the BJP members to work unitedly for the victory of the party, Eshwarappa said, all candidates would not be acceptable to everybody, but all partymen should think that Narendra Modi is their candidate and strive for the party’s victory.

More to join BJP

Eshwarappa said, leaders from various parties, including P G R Sindhia and Tejaswini Ramesh, will join  BJP soon.

Speaking to reporters in Hassan, on Saturday, he said, the decision of the central leadership was final on re-inducting BSR Congress leader B R Sriramulu and Reddy brothers into the party.
