Referring to the recurring problems in power generation at the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS), Jaamdar stated that the problems of unit breakdown would be sorted out in the next three months. He also said that work orders had already been issued for new projects  which would increase the capacity by 2400 MW. Work orders were also going to be issued for additional projects at the end of July which when commissioned, would increase the capacity by 4,500 MW, he said. As the number of projects with KPCL is increasing, so is the requirement for more people. A total of 3000 people will be joining KPCL in the next three years, with a thousand people being recruited this year alone.
