Vijayapura: Former deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa’s dream child ‘Krantiveera Brigade’ is all set to be launched at Basavana Bagewadi on February 4. He claimed that the organisation would be launched in the presence of 1008 religious heads and more than one lakh people are expected to take part.
Pointing out that the main objective of the Krantiveera Brigade is to protect and develop the Hindu religious institutions and temples, he said that effort would be made to strive for social equality of backward and suppressed class people apart from making effort to achieve education and economical growth of these communities. The organisation is also aimed at conducting training camps to organise them, said Eshwarappa, who is also its state coordinator.
Kantesh Brigade
However, the analysts have labelled Krantiveera Brigade as superficial and the real insight is the ‘Kantesh Brigade’. “Eshwarappa has used his political influence to launch an organisation with the intention of projecting his son as the future leader of the state’s Kuruba community. It is for this reason that Kantesh himself has been made as the working president of the brigade”, they opined.
It is being said that Eshwarappa is launching the brigade in North Karnataka keeping an eye on the Halumatha community which has a large chunk of population in the region to project his son as its leader.
BJP leaders B S Yediyurappa and D H Shankaramurthy have succeeded in raising their sons politically and managed to get proper position for them in the party. But, Eshwarappa has failed in this effort. Therefore, it is said that he has taken steps to form a brigade and demonstrate his strength with the intention of shaping the future of his son at least in the last days of his political career and gain a strong position in the BJP.
His loyalists claimed that he has planned to send a message to the BJP leaders that the religious leaders are with him. But, it remains to be seen whether Eshwarappa would succeed in his effort this time as he had earlier failed to achieve goals by forming ‘Rayanna Brigade’ and ‘Rashtrabhaktara Balaga’.
