Bengaluru: The KSRTC on Saturday issued an order detailing revised fares for various services, including mofussil services, which will be effective from Saturday midnight.

For ordinary mofussil services, fares for adults will range from Rs 6 to Rs 74 for 20 fare stages, whereas it will be half the price for children. The fares for express Mofussil service will begin from Rs 12 and Rs 6 for adults and children, respectively.

Ordinary services would not be operated beyond a distance of 20 chargeable stages. Season-wise (peak and normal seasons) fare structure will be applicable for Rajahamsa (ultra deluxe), non-AC sleeper services, Airavat and Airavat Club class, AC sleeper buses, Ambari Utsav Class and Dream Class buses.

KSRTC noted that GST would be applicable only to AC services. “Premium buses’ fare hike will also be done at corporation level and their fares will be hiked by 15 per cent,” said an official.


Fare hikes on the BMTC will be as follows: Rs 6 for the first two kilometres and Rs 12 until four kilometres. The maximum fare for an adult for a distance of 50 km will be Rs 32. The fares for senior citizens will range between Rs 5 for the first two kilometres and Rs 24 for 50 km. 

On some important routes such as Kempegowda Bus Station, Majestic, to Nandini Layout, Peenya 2nd stage, KR Puram and BTM Layout routes, the fare has been increased to Rs 28 (from Rs 25). Vayu Vajra airport bus fares have also increased by Rs 40 and Vajra bus fares have increased by Rs 5.
