Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy President Dayanand Kattalsar sustained minor injuries when his car collided with a truck carrying fish in the wee hours at Nanthoor junction on Saturday.
Kattalsar suffered an injury on the forehead and is being treated in a private hospital, sources close to the President told DH.
Kattalsar and members of the Academy had engaged a vehicle from Tulu Bhavan in Urva Stores to attend a Tulu language programme in Karwar. Kattalsar was travelling from his house in Shaktinagar to Tulu Bhavan when the accident occurred near Nanthoor junction. Mangaluru North traffic police station had registered a case.
