'Land for Zilla Milk Federation soon'Cows were distributed to beneficiaries under the Amrutha project

Cheques were distributed to the beneficiaries at a function organised by the Milk Producers’ Welfare Edowment and Chikkaballapur Zilla Cooperative Federation.

School bags were distributed to the children and under the Amrutha Project cows were distributed to its beneficiaries.

All the hurdles in securing land for the construction of  Milk Federation building should be cleared and the work should begin soon, he added.

The State government is neglecting me and is undertaking decisions in an unanimous manner with regard to the Yeshaswini project, alleged President of the Milk Federation K N Nagaraj, who also heads the Yeshaswini Project Trust.

Establishment of Tetrapack Unit in Chikkaballapur will facilitate in the expansion of milk market, as it is near to the International airport, said Legislator K P Bache Gowda.

Stands second

Director of the Milk Federation K V Nagaraj speaking at the function said that everyday 7.20 lakh litres of milk is supplied by Kolar and Chikkaballapur districts. Our federation stands second in the collection of milk. Also, efforts are directed towards creating more projects for the benefit of the members.

R Narayanappa, a member said that Rs 2 support price for the milk producers’ has been provided by the Yeddyurappa government.

Cheques distributed

At the function, Rs 10,000 was given to the family of the departed member and cows were distributed to nine women members under the Amrutha project.
