Heavy boulders fell on railway line between Castle Rock and Kulem railway stations blocking the movement of trains

Movement of trains between Castle Rock railway station in Uttara Kannada district and Kulem railway stations in Goa was cancelled following landslide at Dudhsagar yard on Tuesday.

Huge boulders fell on railway track around 12 forcing the South Western Railway to cancel the service of Hubballi-Hazrat Nizamuddin Link Express (17305) from Hubballi and Vasco da Gama-KSR Bengaluru Express (02779) from Vasco da Gama.

Vasco da Gama-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express train (12779) was diverted via Madgaon, Majorda, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, Panvel, Kalyan Junction, Igatpuri and Manmad Junction instead of Kulem, Castlerock, Londa, Miraj and Satara.
