No, all these incidents took take place not at the Parliament in New Delhi nor at the Legislature in the State, but at the premises of the Government Higher Primary School at Yannanguru in Shidlaghatta taluk recently. The Jangamakote Cluster High Primary Schoolchildren had organised a model parliamentary session. The ‘people’s representatives’ discussed at length on issues pertaining to subjects like educational programmes, government schemes and programmes, price rise, irregularities in various departments.

Earlier, speaking at the inaugural programme, teacher H S Rudresh Murthy said, “By organising model parliamentary sessions, it was be possible to cultivate political, cultural and educational values among the students. Extra-curricular activities like these help in contributing to the overall development of the students.”
Cluster Resource person H M Venkateshappa said such programmes should be organised to bring out the hidden talent in children. Teachers and parents should encourage the children to mould their personalities and cultivate leadership qualities, he said.

President of the School Development and Supervisory Committee P Narayanswamy, Gram Panchayat member Anjaneya Reddy, MPCS Secretary Ramakrishnappa, Head Mistress N Shakuntalamma, teacher Ramesh, village members, SDMC office-bearers, teachers and head-mistresses of various schools took part in the programme.
