Farmer T M Ravi Kumar said, the leopard was found on his farm, just outside his house. "I was woken up by the barking of my dog around 3 am. A fear was noticed in its barking and thus I played the videos of all the four CCTV cameras to check what is the problem," he said.

Kumar said, six months back a leopard had attacked two of his cows that were tethered inside his house compound. "Even now, I have two cows, but they have not been bothered. The dog was also safe as it was inside a kennel. Six months ago I had also spotted a tiger near my farm. Fortunately, no untoward incident occurred. I have complained about the sighting to the Forest department officials," he said.

The farm is surrounded by other farms and new residential layouts. Kumar said, no houses have been built in the layouts and thus there is wild growth of shrubs and trees. Otherwise there is no forest nearby, he added.
