Davanagere: A leopard attacked a flock of sheep camped in an areca nut plantation near Holesirigere Cross in Harihar taluk late on Tuesday night, killing 20 of them.
The sheep belonged to a person called Somanna of Sadalaga village in Chikkodi taluk. He had camped with the sheep in a plantation on Yelavatti Road near Holesirigere Cross.
The leopard attacked the flock of sheep at night.
A forest department team, which visited the spot, is moving to capture the leopard.
