She owns a land in Bandipur National Park where the leopards have been shifted. The State government has given permission as she is an expert in rearing leopards.

Besides, leopards need to acclimatise to forests and living under her care will help them. After some days, the leopards will be left into forest. Metikuppe Forest Officer Vasudevamurthy had been taking care of the leopards, ever since they were found deserted in a sugarcane field by their mother. They have been named as ‘Pinku’ and ‘Rinku’. Both of them have grown up playing with children of the Forest personnel. Now they have grown up to live independently in the forests. Assistant Conservator of Forests Chandrashekar and Forest Officer Vasudevamurthy and other officials were present when the leopards were handed over.
