The web-based solution is already being used in two districts of Tumkur and Dakshina Kannada on a trial basis and will be implemented in the entire State shortly.
Similarly, the Visvesvaraya Technological Institute is also set to implement the same project in all their 187 colleges. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the university and InstaColl on Saturday. Speaking at the event, Sabeer Bhatia, the angel investor for InstaColl, said that tool was compatible with all other office products and was available both in English and the local language.
He expressed his happiness at Indian institutions and businesses providing patronage to solutions that have not only been conceived and developed locally but also customised to specifically suit local requirements.
VTU Vice Chancellor Dr Maheshappa hoped that the solution would enable them move towards a paperless office and create a culture of innovation in engineering, education and research.
Principal Secretary e-Governance M N Vidyashankar that the application lent itself in English and Kannada to allow the user to make his choice of language. The trial use of the product in Tumkur and Dakshina Kannada districts is being conducted in Kannada version.
