Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta officials on Thursday raided properties linked to four government officials and unearthed assets worth Rs 26.55 crore.

Sources in the Lokayukta said that the search operations were conducted in 24 places in Bengaluru, Kolar, Yadgir, and Davangere.

The officials targeted the residences, offices, and houses of the relatives of the ‘corrupt’ government officers. Raja Venkappa Nayak, the taluk health officer of Surpur in Yadgir district, was found to possess total assets worth Rs 12.59 crore. Officials searched five places linked to Nayak and found that he owned 11 sites, two houses, 13 acres of agricultural land, one petrol pump, and one nursing home.

Suresh Babu G, survey supervisor in ADLR-Kolar, owned total assets worth Rs 8.18 crore, including immovable assets worth Rs 6.5 crore and movable assets worth Rs 1.68 crore, according to Lokayukta officials. G Srinivasa Murthy, executive engineer, BBMP, Malleswaram zone, was found to have total assets worth Rs 3.45 crore. Lokayukta also raided properties of M B Ravi, AEE, Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, Davangere, and found total assets worth Rs 2.31 crore.
