The Kalleshwara Trikura temple, near M Kodihalli lake is a 1,000 year-old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

A Basava statue is also placed on the 'natya vritta' in the 'Navaranga' area of the temple. The miscreants, in their attempt to find treasure underground, lifted the heavy stone slab and dug five feet below the ground and from there again eight feet to the side like a tunnel.

Before digging the floor, they also reportedly performed a ritual placing a copper sheet, a small clay pot and lemon near all the four pillars of Navaranga.
