At a progress review meeting, Madhu said that teachers should be present in schools and that using proxy teachers is not acceptable. "The CM will be urged for his approval in the state budget to appoint 10,000 teachers. Necessary measures will be taken to fill 80% of vacant teachers' posts in Kalyana Karnataka," Madhu said.
