Mysuru, dhns: A team of Forest department personnel rescued a male elephant, said to be around 35-years-old, which attacked vehicles, damaged crops, and posed a threat to life and property at Vaatepura near Parvathamma Hill in Alur taluk, under Hassan wildlife division, Hassan district, on Saturday.
Under the guidance of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Subhash K Malkhede, APCCF (Project Elephant) R Manoj, Conservator of Forest, Yedukundala, the operation was taken up by DCF Saurab Kumar, District Elephant Task Force of Sakleshpur, ACFs; veterinarians Dr Chettiyappa Dr Wasim and Dr Mujeeb.
Elephants Dhananjaya, Sugreeva, Bheema, Kanjan, Ekalavya and Mahendra participated in the operation.
