A person who interfered in a fight between a married couple was assaulted in return, in Havugollara tribal hamlet, in Dundalli Gram Panchayat limit in Shanivarasanthe.
When a couple were quarrelling with each other, their relative by name of Babu tried to calm them down, so as to put an end to the quarrel.
Enraged by the intervention, Kiran hit Babu with a wooden log.
Babu availed treatment at the Community Health Centre in Shanivarasanthe and later submitted a complaint in Shanivarasanthe police station.
A case has been registered.
