Davangere: A man, who was extremely depressed after the untimely death of his wife, allegedly killed his two children and then ended his life in the Gandhinagar police station limits on Thursday.
Uday (35), a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Lay-out in the city, strangled his daughter Sindhushree (4) and son Srijay (3) to death and then ended his life.
Hema from Chalageri in Ranebennur taluk of Haveri district and Uday from Davangere had fallen in love with each other and got married.
Hema died of a heart attack in September. After this, Uday went to depression, according to the police.
In a death note written by Uday, he mentioned that he was joining his wife with his children.
Uday fell into depression due to the untimely death of his wife,’ the Gandhinagar police station said, which has registered the case.
