Legislative Assembly Speaker U T Khader said that Ayush Habba 2026, to create awareness on India’s traditional healthcare systems will be held at Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre in Mangaluru on January 31 and February 1.
Releasing the poster of Ayush Habba organised by the Ayush department, in association with all Ayush Hospitals and Colleges, Ayush Foundation and others in Mangaluru on Saturday, the Speaker said that the programme will focus on health and wellness. In fact, the Ayush system of medicine is a contribution of our sages to the world. The two-day event will provide people from all sections of society with comprehensive information on AYUSH lifestyles, modern technological innovations, and various important options that individuals can choose from.
Ayush Habba Samithi honorary president Dr Ashajyothi Rai said the primary objective of this programme is to create awareness among the public about Ayush treatment systems. Around 5,000 doctors, 10,000 Ayush medical students (including postgraduate and research scholars), and more than 20,000 are expected to attend the event. The entry is free for the public. A comprehensive exhibition will be arranged through 50 stalls.
Dr Rai said free health camp will be held in addition to free Nadi pariksha for those registered using Nadi Tarangini device, with detailed explanations of findings, treatment approaches, and dietary guidance. In addition, the two-day event will have Ayush care for senior citizens,lifestyle and stress management camps for maintaining health, healthy food festivals to showcase and offer nutritious food preparations and tasty snacks essential for health, as described in Ayurveda and Naturopathy texts.
Further, it will have Mahila swasthya habba which will focus on women’s health, where expert doctors will examine and advise on common health issues faced by women and special problems arising from modern, stress-filled lifestyles, she explained.
AYUSH beauty festival will provide information on special protective and therapeutic formulations for skin health from various AYUSH systems. Considering the alarming rise in heart-related problems due to modern lifestyles, even among younger age groups, a special Heart Health section will be organised. The two-day festival will also have scientific sessions where speakers will deliver special lectures on various subjects. Students will also be given opportunities for poster presentations, helping them advance in their medical education. Swadeshi savayava habba will feature exhibitions and sales of agricultural products grown using natural, chemical-free farming methods. There will also be demonstrations on how complex health problems can be treated through simple AYUSH therapies.
AYUSH Hackathon
Dr Rai said that Ayush hackathon and ideathon will be another event during the two-day festival.
It is a collaborative initiative between AYUSH colleges and engineering colleges, providing a platform to discuss and decide on new innovations and use technology for Ayush. Ayush Startups will also take part. There will be entrepreneurs’ meet, diabetic food festival, AYUSH Festival for Gen Z and promotion of AYUSH Wellness Tourism.
