The FIR was registered following a complaint filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials, probing the alleged Dharmasthala mass burial case, after they allegedly found firearms and two talwars at his house during a search operation.

As he was not at home, the police had pasted the notice on the wall of his house.

The first notice was served to Thimarody on September 19, asking him to appear before the police on September 21. When he failed to do so, a second notice was served to him asking him to appear on September 25.

As he failed to appear for the second notice, the police have served him a third notice asking him to appear on September 29.

The bail application, filed by Thimarody before the Principal District and Sessions Court in Mangaluru, has been scheduled for September 27 for hearing.
