In a complaint, the couple alleged that Bryan D’Souza, Deril, his wife Flavy, and one Sachin Carlos convinced them to invest in a firm named US Business World Hydrus 7 Blockchain Technology, promising high monthly returns.

The complainant said his wife had paid Rs 38,500 in cash on February 26. Between May 6, 2021, and November 11, 2022, he transferred Rs 35.27 lakh via cheques and additionally paid Rs 3.96 lakh in cash on April 24, 2022.

The accused allegedly promised a monthly return of $2,400 for 20 months, up to July 2024. However, they received one installment of Rs 1.74 lakh in December 2022 from Bryan’s brother.

No further returns were credited and they failed to return back the invested amount.
