Mangaluru: A rider and a pillion rider died and another pillion rider suffered injuries after the bikes which they were travelling in rammed into a divider at SKS Junction on NH 66 between Kuntikana and KPT in the early hours on Tuesday.

According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Sankeerth (23), student of AJ Dental College, Dhanurved c (19) from Srinivas Hotel Management College. The injured is Cibi Sam (22), student of AJ Dental College.

Friend of the deceased, Rohan Jobi said that Sankeerth, Dhanurved, Cibi and Meghanath had left their house from Lohith Nagar to drink tea.

Jobi and Meghanath left on one bike and the other three left on another bike. "Sankeerth rode the motor cycle in a negligent manner and rammed at the divider." As a result, all three fell on NH 66. Sankeerth and Dhanurved suffered serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.
