Madikeri: Heavy rain coupled with gusty wind lashed various parts of Kodagu on Thursday night which resulted in several trees being uprooted and causing havoc for the locals.

District administration has declared a holiday for anganwadis, primary, high schools and PU colleges in Kodagu.
Following increase in inflow of water, 10,158 cusecs water from Harangi dam was released into Harangi river. About 15,000 cusecs water was released into the river on Thursday late night.
