Addressing a press meet here on Friday, MASS President Rajaram Bhat said Minster for Cooperative Laxman Savadi will be the chief guest, while South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank Chairman M N Rajendra Kumar will preside over the function.
MASS Ltd, is the cooperative society, established in the year 2001, under the Karnataka Co-operative Society Act to tackle the problem of falling prices of arecanut and for the empowerment of the farmer members.
Hitherto, the MASS was operating from a rented godown at Padil.
The newly constructed 20,000 sq. feet office cum godown will also deal with rubber and pepper besides arecanut.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Ramanath Rai and former minister Amarnath Shetty will be the other guests on the occasion.
