Fines were imposed on 17 shops for violating the rules. Fine of Rs 42,000 was collected. The Commissioner also cancelled the license of one shop for not maintaining the cleanliness.
The Commissioner also warned the shop keepers of imposing fine if they were found using plastics below 20 micron.
