Bidar: The case of alleged sexual assault on a four-year-old girl in a private school has taken a new turn with medical examination revealing no signs of any such assault on the girl.

Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti said that a medical examination was conducted on the child at BRIMS hospital and the doctors disclosed that there were no signs of any sexual assault. The girl has suffered some injury accidently, according to medical examination report, the SP said in a statement.

The release further said that the parents of the child have been counselled at the child protection unit and all the information had been furnished to them. He has appealed public not to believe rumours.

A case was registered in the woman’s police station on July 24 after the mother of the girl lodged a complaint alleging sexual assault on her daughter.
