Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, he said Karnataka Bank non executive chairman Ananthakrishna will inaugurate the seminar. Corporation Bank General Manager B R Bhat will be the guest of honour.
The two-day long deliberations will include four sessions on— ‘Mergers, acquisition and consolidation of banks’ by Canara Bank Chief Manager Yogish Acharya, Institute of Co-operative Management Vice-Principal Prof Ravichandran; ‘Micro financing and infrastructure financing’ by NABARD Principal M M Baheti, TAPMI’s Prof Chowdary Prasad; ‘Technology in banking service’ by Syndicate Bank DGM J S Shenoy and NITK Associate Professor Dr Raghavendra Prakash; ‘Innovations of new series and product and next generation banking’ by SBI DGM Sathyamurthy and Besant College Commerce HoD Dr Carmelite Goveas.
The conference aims at discussing the challenges faced by banking sector and find the ways and means of continuously ensuring better profitability and productivity, he added.
The valedictory will be attended by RBI Regional Director Vijaya Bhaskar.
