Addressing reporters on Tuesday, he said Vijayendra, who is working hard to strengthen the party, should continue as president of the state unit. “We will discuss this in the meeting and decide on the next course of action against dissenters,” he said.

He said the dissenters are camping in Delhi. But it does not serve any purpose. National leaders know what Vijayendra is. Action should be taken against the dissenters. They should be expelled from the party, he demanded.

Renukacharya said the dissenters are mentally ill and are speaking in public to destroy the BJP. “If they have any dignity, let them fight against the Congress government. They are quietly dragging the names of BJP leaders like B Sriramulu, Basavaraja Bommai and V Somanna for the post of state unit president.” he charged. “We are also ready to go to Delhi,” he said.
