The concept of PTM itself is new to the government schools and the Department of School Education and Literacy has decided to involve parents to know what is happening in the school and to familiarise them with the facilities provided by the government to encourage education.

Though this was announced by the minister for school education and literacy during the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, an official circular was issued on Wednesday asking the school authorities to make preparations for the PTM.

If the students’ strength is less than 50 then all the parents should be invited, if the enrollment is above 50, the priority should be given to higher classes considering the availability of space
at the schools to conduct meetings.
