Homage was paid to the 12 unidentified victims of IX-812 Air India plane crash on May 22, 2010, whose bodies were cremated off-Kuloor bridge.
District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai, MUDA chairman Ibrahim Kodijal, zilla panchayat vice-president Kasturi Panja, Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, Additional DC Kumar, relatives of the victims and others paid floral tributes at the park developed near Kuloor bridge by NMPT.
Rai said the air crash was one of the greatest disasters of the country. Several bodies were unidentified as they were charred to death and the relatives could not claim them. These bodies were cremated here. A memorial will be built for their remembrance, he said.
