“Private dairies are mushrooming with every passing day. While they offer few paise more price, they do not provide any benefits to milk producers,” he said while distributing cheques to the families of deceased members of the Union, here on Tuesday.
Manager of the Milk Union Krishna Reddy said that the Union has introduced several schemes for the welfare of milk producers. A sum of Rs 10,000 is being paid to the family of the member of the milk producers cooperative society. Financial assistance is being extended to fund the education of talented students. Free medical check-up camps are also being organised.
He suggested milk producers to adopt scientific methods in dairy farming. Cheques of Rs 10,000 were distributed to 25 families. SSLC, PUC and dairy technology students were felicitated on the occasion. Deputy Manager Shivaram, superintendent Anand and others were present.
