Mines and Geology Minister Murugesh Nirani said on Saturday that the state government had closed mining within a radius of 10 kilometres around Krishna Raja Sagar dam four months ago.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, he stated that permission has been given for mining beyond 10 km radius.
