Nobody was injured in the incident, police said. The incident took place near Elekudligi village in Sindhanur taluk, when a motorcyclist suddenly veered in front of the escort vehicle, forcing the driver to apply brakes, resulting in Reddy’s car hitting it from the rear.
The minister was travelling to Lingasugur taluk from Bellary district to attend a mass marriage programme at Sri Amareshwara temple, organised by Lingasugur MLA Manappa Vajjal. Karunakara Reddy returned without attending the programme.
