Mangaluru: The body of a 59-year-old auto driver who had beenmissing since April 9 was found in a well at Kunjathoor Padavu in Manjeshwara of Kerala.

Commissioner of Police Anupam Agrawal said that the deceased, Mahammed Sharief, had left home in K S Rao Nagara in Mulki in his auto on April 9 at 10:30 am.

He was operating his auto from a parking stand at Kottara Chowki in Mangaluru. He failed to return home.

Accordingly, the family filed a complaint at the Mulki station. Manjeshwara station police officer Vinay Chandran informed the Mulki police that an auto-rickshaw was found at Kunjathoor Padavu in Manjeshwara Police Station limits, and his body was found in a well.

A case has been registered at the Manjeshwara police station. There is a suspicion that Sharief might have been murdered. Manjeshwara police are investigating.
