Despite all odds, hardships, humiliation, trauma of his missing wife Mallige who was presumed to be murdered, Suresh who was facing a murder charge and was jailed under trial for over two years, feels proud as his daughter J S Keerthi has scored 85 per cent marks in the SSLC.

Keerthi has scored 120 marks in Kannada, 90 in English, 95 in Social Science, 84 in Science and 71 in Hindi and Mathematics.

While Keerthi was all happy and peaceful after her mother Mallige was found alive and fifth Additional District and Sessions Judge of Mysuru acquitted her father in the case, now her result has been an icing on the cake.

Keerthi said, "I am happy about the result. I wish to continue my education. I want to be a lawyer to get justice for the poor. I also want to become an IAS officer to help the poor."

Suresh said, "I am very happy that she has scored well. I wish to support her education to fulfill all her dreams. My son also had to discontinue education, to take care of my daughter and mother-in-law since I was in jail until I got bail in the High Court. I will support my son's education too now."

Advocates B S Pandu Poojari and P J Raghavendra, who supported Suresh in the case, also assured to support his daughter's education.

Meanwhile, while Suresh's mother-in-law Gowri (Mallige's mother) is suffering from a kidney problem, Suresh has temporarily taken a break from his daily wage work to take care of her at his home in Basavanahalli tribal settlement colony of Kushalnagar taluk.

Advocate Poojari informed that preparations are on to get the case registered at District and Sessions Court, Mysuru, against one IO (who submitted the chargesheet in the case to the court); towards departmental action by IGP Southern range for the lapses in investigation and chargesheet in the case against all four IOs.

He is also preparing to file case in the High Court demanding independent probe against all IOs in the case; to get better compensation for Suresh from the state; and to demand investigation in the registered unnatural death case regarding the unknown dead body found by Bettadapura police (which was presumed to be that of Mallige).
