A mobile conversation allegedly between a gangster and a CCB constable has gone viral on social media.
The conversation is in Malayalam and said to be between notorious gangster Talaki Rafiq from Manjeshwar in Kerala and CCB constable Chandra. Also, the conversation is related to sharing money in exchange for information on the mobile locations of some individuals.
Talaki Rafiq has 19 cases against him. He was arrested by Mangaluru South anti-rowdy squad personnel two months ago and is remanded in judicial custody.
It is alleged that Chandra was furnishing mobile locations and movements of rival gang members to Talaki Rafiq, who was using the information for his criminal activities.
City Police Commissioner T R Suresh said, “The conversation between the two has been brought to my notice. There is a need to probe into the matter on when and why they had conversed with each other. A departmental inquiry has been ordered. If the constable is proved guilty then strict action will be initiated against him.”
