The DMRDB is constructing more than 3,000 houses for the flood affected victims in north Karnataka region.

Speaking on the occasion, Heggade said, the DMRDB will be constructing nearly 460 houses at a new location in Kongwad village and each house costs Rs 1.30 lakh. During the first phase, the DMRDB will be constructing 60 model houses with adequate open space to every house. Interested villagers can also build more rooms in the open space according to their need and space availability, he added.

Shettar lauded Heggade for joining hands with the Government and stepping forward to construct more than 3,000 houses for north Karnataka flood victims. He said Heggade had not limited himself to religious programmes, but had contributed immensely for the community service.
